‘Organic Urbanism via Collective Site Appropriation’ is a paper co-authored with Arturo Frediani published in The Journal of Architectural Education (JAE 72:1). It explains a studio course conducted in Barcelona in 2016 with students from The University of Calgary EVDS Architecture Program who collectively designed an urban master plan for a small urbanization on a slope of Montjuïc (Barcelona) during a site appropriation workshop held at the outset of the course before individually designing live-work patio houses within that plan. The paper can be read online at Taylor and Francis online or at academia.edu.
